Systems outlast projects
Every system I build is meant to survive past the one problem it was built to solve - Silk didn't stay Rahal's problem, it became something two more projects could stand on.

Constraints are the material, not the obstacle
A rigid API, an unfinished design system, a market with no existing digital habits - these aren't blockers to design around, they're the actual shape of the problem.

Talk to the room before designing for it
The version that's "correct" on paper rarely matches how people actually think - I'd rather sit with the people who'll use it than guess right on the first try.

I'm the designer teams bring in when the brief isn't written yet.
A computer science degree and early years as a game developer mean I argue with engineers in their language, not around it - I design inside real API constraints instead of discovering them at handoff. Eight years later that's turned into shipped fintech, travel and enterprise products across Europe, the US and the Middle East.
What I own: framing the problem when nobody hands it to me framed, defending the decision to the client and the CTO, and staying with the product long enough to fix what the data says I got wrong. On Rahal that meant two years - three weeks to MVP, then 18 months of funnel work that nearly tripled conversion.
I also leave the systems better than I found them. The RTL support I built into Netguru's Silk design system didn't stay on my project; it became part of what the system does for everyone.
Outside of work, I'm usually behind a camera [drone included] at the movies, watching or playing sport, or already planning the next trip. Same curiosity, different outlet.
